Nekobukuro

A couple of days ago – we went to Nekobukuro. The concept: You pay 600 yen to enter into a room where you can pet cats for as long as you like. (Or take their picture.) I am more fond of birds than cats, but it was still a nice experience. They have lots of different cats, Siamese, Persian, Norwegian Forest cats and many other types. If you find yourself in the Ikebukuro area and like petting kitties, you should absolutely go. (They also have cat-bars and cat-cafes scattered all over town, but I have have never gone.)

åååååh, I love cats! wish I had one, but maybe when I have a house with white picked fence and a garden I’ll get one 😉 I have a dog though, so my animal needs are half met 😉

/ thank you so much, you have no idea how much that means too me, you just made me superduper happy 😉

I have no animals right now – so just the interaction was nice. I want to find a bird-house though. I am sure – with all of the cat-cafes going around here – I am sure that I can find a bird-cafe – I just have to look hard enough. If not – I should start one myself – since Japan is probably the only place such a concept could actually work. God, I would love a bar where I could have a budgie on my glass!

/your blog is incredibly cute and nice, and you write so well. I feel words have slipped away from me over the latest words, but reading blogs like yours and others who can write as well as post pictures are really inspiring, so thank you for posting, and don’t stop! ♥

    Aww, they are so cute!
I actually saw a clip about cat-cafés, cat-bars and such on Animal Planet the other day. It’s a pretty cool concept =D

I was kind of skeptical towards it at first, but after going – I feel like I want to go back! I don’t have animals right now, and it was nice to see all the cats enjoying themselves and just walking around and doing their business, cuddling up to the customers, and resting in a high place if they got tired and did not want to interact anymore.

I’d be in heaven there. I love both birds and cats, but I can’t have both 😉 I’d be scared for the birds non-stop.

    The first cat is gorgeous.

I like cats as long as there are no birds or smaller animals around as well. I wish I had taken pictures of the cutest cat of them all, a little red, fat, flatfaced thing. He wasn’t very ready to have his picture taken though.
