vintage charm bracelet

Isn’t this beautiful? And the best part – it is the real deal! No fake plastic, but a real authentic one from the seventies. I am a bit unsure about how I feel about wearing things which can make me be perceived as religious, but I like the bracelet. At least I can take pretty pictures of it. The long golden snake-like charm reminds me of the golden poop-building in Asakusa. (For those of you who have been to Asakusa, you know what I am talking about!) It made me smile.

Penguins!

This guy is the cutest thing ever! He went back and forth and didn’t quite dare to jump in the water.

Osaka and Kyoto

The mountains in the background almost reminded me of Norway.

Haha, I had to take this picture for my Swedish friends. I think they meant to write “Nord kaffe” and not “Nörd kaffe”. Nordic coffee and Nerdy coffee…

Osaka from the hotel window.

Cute barber shop.

Chinese medicine!

金閣寺

We went on a trip to Kyoto and Osaka a couple of weeks back, and the one thing I really wanted to see in Kyoto was Kinkakuji! It was so beautiful, even though it was quite cold for being the start of March.

寿司食べ放題

About a month ago, we went to all-you-can-eat-sushi in Roppongi. I broke my old record, and ate over 30 pieces. I felt fine there and then, but oh my, I haven’t been this stuffed for a while. The sushi was actually quite decent quality for being at an all-you-can-eat-place, but for the price (almost 5000 yen pr. person) I could have had a lot of delicious sushi from the local sushi place up the street from where I live as well. So the conclusion is, it was a fun and delicious experience, but in the future I think I would prefer going to a regular sushiyasan.

Coffee

I have 28 drafts filled with pictures ready to post, so I might as well just start. Here is a cute cafe I went to in Shinjuku together with one of my students, probably over a month ago. I love how they draw little animals in the coffee.
