(Long stoppage in the 365 project, I blame Japanese. Here is another one for now. )

Make something beautiful every day 7/365

I just saw this quote again on another blog, and since I always have loved it, I had to make something out of it. There are so many beautiful quotes in Lost in Translation. I think what I particularly like about that movie is all the mundane little conversations… There is silence in that movie, and the answers seems sincere and not perfectly thought out, but very human. I want to watch it again soon, but I do not dare to watch it now that I am in Tokyo, I am afraid that I all of a sudden will recognize to many places, understand too much of the Japanese, and that it will ruin the wonderful feeling of feeling lost. Still sticking to the rules of the 365 – it is suppose to be small and quick…

Nothing is original.

If you only read one article about creativity this week, make sure to read Austin Kleon’s How to steal like an artist (and 9 other things nobody told me). One of the most inspiring articles I have read in quite a while when it comes to creativity and how to be able to produce work.

Motivational Quotes

A few years ago I decided to draw a little motivational quote every single day until I eventually got really sick and tired of them, so the result is a whole lot of little cards. Some of them are quite cheesy, but I think a lot of people would run out of nifty and positive things to say after a couple of weeks. I think there is all in all 70-something cards here.

Arrogant mood

I made these a couple of years ago, and thought I had to repost them here. Postcards, 12cm x 12cm.

Happiness

I guess I am going a little bird crazy this week. I have seen this quote floating around the internet for a couple of years, I am not sure who wrote it originally. I decided to make a motivational poster a couple of years ago (probably heavily inspired by various things I no longer can remember), and I found it looking through the bottomless archive.

Can you pass the life test?

An old illustration I dug up from god knows how many years ago, way to heavily inspired by the original “Can you pass the acid test?“.
I think it is fitting for this week.

Dark days

I grew into it. It grew into me.
It and I blurred at the edges,
became one amorphous,
seeping, crawling thing.

Twilight

Binka writes about how she is a morning person, and I say I love the night. The night is magical (and at times manic), but I am still learning to not listen too much to myself after the sun has gone down.

Trur at alle onde ting kan skje
E det det at vi blir meire fremmed
eller blir vi meire sånn vi e”
