Metro and more

The metro in Tokyo is not always full of people, just look at how Kichijoji looked when we went to buy spices the other day. Almost empty, in the middle of the day.

Finding a Kaldi Coffee farm in the middle of.. somewhere turned out to be easier then we thought.

I never get tired of looking at all the delicious plastic foods.

And finally, we found it! I wish I  could take pictures inside the stores here without shooting from the hip and pretending like nothing happened. The Kaldi Coffee farm has lots of foreign goods. It is probably not very interesting if you are European or American and you are only in Tokyo for vacation, but if you live here, you get happy seeing all the fancy little bags of stuff you can not get anywhere else. I caved in bought a pack of Potatismos from Felix 😉 We also got a ton of spices (homemade curry galore to come!), delicious blue cheese and parmesan, not to mention salsa and nachos. Bliss!

  1. I always wish that I could take photos inside stores too! Especially since many stores here are designed so well that it really is a shame to let a beautiful display go un-noticed…

I feel the same, I have seen some amazing displays lately, and I almost want to go over to them, explain that I write a blog and ask for permission, but I am a little bit to shy for that since I don’t know how they would react.

I really like your blog btw, beautiful pictures of Nagoya. I still haven’t been there, but I really want to go.

They had a really nice cheese selection, and lots of different parma ham and lovely things. I wish I could take pictures of it.

And thank you for saying hello! I sometimes miss the good old LJ-days, but the people who own LJ just made it too hard in the end to keep on posting there. Where on the internet are you these days?

you should wear your phone like a necklace and use like a time-lapse mode shooting camera…or you can do it like this “ninja style”. I’m not the perfect social network user, i do have a Fb profile (michele.dotto).
