We need to talk. The honeymoon-phase is definitely over. At first you were exciting, I loved everything about you, how you were so diverse, always ready for an adventure, went out of your way to surprise me, dished up delicious food and took me to a new place every weekend. Lately, I haven’t been paying too much attention to you, maybe I have started to take you for granted. Almost four years into our relationship, I feel as if you are not opening up to me, you seem closed off, despite all of your craziness. Maybe I am seeing a different side of you. A more tired side. I can see that you hardly have time for any of the exciting things you still try to offer. Maybe you have moved on, found a new girl to love, and left me behind. I keep running after you, trying to catch up with you, but you seem moody and hasty and you don’t have time for me anymore. It is like we are co-existing, but not really doing much together anymore. Maybe it isn’t you, maybe it’s me. I still love you, I am just not in love with you. Yes, I am talking about you, Tokyo.

I realized I never posted these pictures from my Eurotrip back in February. I absolutely loved the architecture of Prague (who wouldn’t?), so I made sure to snap a couple of pictures of my favorite buildings around Eastern Europe, including Prague.
The clock in Prague is a classic, I think the first time I ever saw it was in one of Jan Saudek’s illustrations.
Market places and steaming smoke from street stalls. It seems very far away from the current 35+ degree weather in Tokyo at the moment.
This theatre building always took my breath away. I am glad some things never change.
The above picture is from Krakow square, I love how small and intimate the city feels despite quite a few grand architectural structures.

I absolutely love the architecture in Prague. Everywhere you look there are buildings with intricate details, gold foliage and faces and swirls and flowers carved out in stone. There is something about the time and effort that went into all of these old buildings that was lost somewhere along the way. I wonder what they looked like when they were all new, if they would have the same charm and grace that they have today.

Some more pictures from Prague back in February. It seems so long ago and far away already. I probably will not see Europe again for at least another year.

I finally finished my Moleskine notebook in March. This has been the absolute hardest book to fill up (2 years and 3 months for ONE book, seriously?!), mainly because life is busy and drawing – ain’t nobody got time for that. Click the picture to go to the gallery – it contains tons of pictures.

Things have been so busy, I never even mentioned I went on a tiny Eurotrip back in February. We managed to stop by Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia.
The biggest medium sized coffee in Europe // Fried cheese on the streets of Prague
Room service // Yogurt for breakfast
I thought I saw Lena (who won Eurovision back in 2010), but I doubt it was her. In any case, I found her doppelganger! // Clock in the old town square in Prague
Various food in Krakow, Poland.
Burlesque bar in Krakow // Omiyage in Prague
Walking the streets of Stare Mesto in Prague // More coffee in Krakow
Czech food! Meatloaf, chicken and bread dumplings.
Old town square with the gothic church in Prague
And even more food. *sigh* This blog is slowly turning into a what-I-ate-today-journal.

Found these on the walls of a kindergarden somewhere between Nakano-ku and Shinjuku-ku, and just had to take a picture 🙂

It is allowed to drink alcohol on the streets in Japan. Not sure how well it is looked upon (since some people frown if you eat while walking), but I have never received any negative remarks from anybody. One of my favorite hobbies is kombini-hopping, or should I say nomi-aruki – walking around different neighborhoods in Tokyo with the camera in one hand and a drink in the other. Alcohol is for sale here 24/7 at the kombini, so you can walk and drink until your legs can’t take it anymore. A perfect way to stay in shape, take pictures and have a drink. ♥
