places/spaces

I realized I never posted these pictures from my Eurotrip back in February. I absolutely loved the architecture of Prague (who wouldn’t?), so I made sure to snap a couple of pictures of my favorite buildings around Eastern Europe, including Prague.

The clock in Prague is a classic, I think the first time I ever saw it was in one of Jan Saudek’s illustrations.

Market places and steaming smoke from street stalls. It seems very far away from the current 35+ degree weather in Tokyo at the moment.

This theatre building always took my breath away. I am glad some things never change.

The above picture is from Krakow square, I love how small and intimate the city feels despite quite a few grand architectural structures.

Architecture;

I absolutely love the architecture in Prague. Everywhere you look there are buildings with intricate details, gold foliage and faces and swirls and flowers carved out in stone. There is something about the time and effort that went into all of these old buildings that was lost somewhere along the way. I wonder what they looked like when they were all new, if they would have the same charm and grace that they have today.

Prague river

Some more pictures from Prague back in February. It seems so long ago and far away already. I probably will not see Europe again for at least another year.
