Because I am a *little* obsessed about birds, I begged to go to the aviary in Niagara falls, and I got that wish granted as well. The birds had plenty of space, and the place looked better than I expected.
One of the first room we entered were a room of predators and non-birds. Seriously, there is nothing as scary as turtles when they… get into a “good” mood. You have hereby been warned before you look between the the turtles legs two pictures below. He looks like he is about to attack you.
After being slightly fascinated and quite scared of randy turtles and egg-eating Toucans, I went on to my favorite type of birds, the parrots. Look at these handsome creatures! I wanted to bring them home with me.
Below; a room of smaller birds, some poisonous frogs and birds from a large tropical and humid room.
I think the guy above was my favorite! Handsome and studly and fluffy!

I love diners! If you are in Timmins, Ontario, you should stop by the Pine Dairy Bar (141 Pine St S) if you like diners as well! The poutine gravy was very salty, but all in all it was a cute experience.

Toronto was full of tall buildings, and I couldn’t really get a sense of what the city was about at first.
After a nice lunch I realized what the city was about… Beer! And fried food! And getting intoxicated in the middle of the day. After all, I was on vacation, right?
There was a convention in Toronto just the weekend we were there, so the entire city was filled up with people like in the picture above. A lot of the cosplay was terrible and everything I associate with North American… cosplay, but some people actually pulled it of pretty ok, like the people in the picture above. (Minus the sneakers.) I am quite shy, so I didn’t dare to walk up to people and ask if I could take their picture.

I can’t really recommend this place for anything apart from good ambiance. Service was pretty terrible. Food was ok. But if you are in Rouyn-Noranda in Northern Quebec, you might want to stop by for a good time with some friends. That is, if you are ok with waiting for a long time, and don’t mind your food getting cold waiting for utensils to eat it with.
