My 2010 – January

In January I had just moved to Tokyo, and I was still mesmerized with everything Japanese. All the wires were so different from where I used to live.

The view from the back balcony was even more wired.

And the manhole-covers were pretty.

I installed hipstamatic on my iPhone, and everything around me felt like a dream, I was in a daze.

And the view from the front balcony of Shinjuku was beautiful. It was warm enough to go outside without a jacket on, in the middle of January.

I went to little resturants where I could not read the menu.

I saw schoolgirls and oranges on the trees.

Hello Tokyo!

Welcome to Sushibird.com.

I have never been good with introduction posts, so I will make it short and sweet.

I am a girl, twenty-something, currently living alongside sushi and sumo-wrestlers in Tokyo, Japan.

Apart from sushi and birds, I also like photography and illustration, sake, champagne and cheese, moleskine notebooks, the view from the 52nd floor of the Mori tower and anything that is sparkly. And that is probably what this blog will be about as well.

I have been on the internet and had my own webpages for 10 years, but keeping a blog is new to me, so wish me luck.

Thank you, goodbye and hello ♥
