I just wanted to recommend a tiny sushi-shop in Krakow, Youmiko sushi. Very homemade and handmade feeling, good service and laid back atmosphere. The menu changes after what they can get in fresh, and it is absolutely worth a visit if you are in Krakow and crave sushi. Polish people in the kitchen. The rice has a slightly sweet taste, and reminded me more of the rice you get served in certain parts of the Kansai region more than the slightly saltier rice you would normally get served in the Kanto area. The sweet taste of the rice went very well with some of their more original pieces, using jalapeño peppers to create a spicier taste. Recommended!

Did I mention I was in Poland to visit friends back in… October? Beautiful weather and good, cheap food. Here are some pictures I had forgotten all about.

Look at what I received back in October from Japan. It seems kind of silly posting it so late (because I am already back in Japan), but I just wanted to show the tarako and mentaiko pasta sauces in particular. If you ever get across them in a Japanese super market, you should try them. Small fish eggs and seaweed for your pasta, the ultimate combination of Japanese and Italian cooking. The tarako has a mild flavor, and the mentaiko is a spicier version of tarako. Mmm!

I am so incredibly far behind posting images on this blog that I have no excuses. Here are some mobile pictures taken in October and November. I have a post coming up soon with descriptions of the apps I use, but for now; PhotoToaster for general editing and Snapeee for the bling. ♥
