Narita

I haven’t got much blogging done today – I am following my mom to Narita, staying in a hotel overnight, and following her to the airport in the morning. I have never been to Narita city before – it is a small and quiet place it seems, but we still found a decent restaurant.

I have no idea how to operate this alarm/light-switch/radio/air-conditioner between our beds. It looks like it has been teleported here from a 1950’s movie.

So, may one ask why you’re in Japan? Studies?
I couldn’t find it anywhere on the site, which might of course be intentional. If that’s the case then that’s fine. 🙂
Always wanted to go to Japan, but never seem to find the time for it.

Hello 🙂 It was not intentionally left out, I am just not good with introduction posts, so I might have to update it in the future. I study Japanese here, and also I have a VIP here.
What kinds of games do you design?
Aha, I see! Sounds interesting, and quite challenging I believe? Least that’s what’s everyone keeps telling me.
We don’t design games as much as learn about the process. I’m guessing most of the people choosing the line of studies are aiming to become actual game designers, but personally it was just a place to start.
I enjoy studying, and learning new things. So most likely I’ll go on studying something else after I finish this Bachelor degree, or perhaps upgrade it to a Master or something. I’m really not sure where I’m headed, so I’m just going with it till I find myself a proper goal. 🙂
I am like you when I think of a proper goal. I am still working on that one. If you like programming, I think you would like Japanese. It is very regular, and very few exceptions to the grammar rules, so you can basically just change the words in a sentence to make a new sentence. I think my main challenge is just remembering it all – all the grammar patterns, vocabulary, and all the god damn kanji. I want to figure out how to memorize larger quantities of stuff and actually make it stick in my brain.
