Ok, I am officially in love with this chick. I had seen the “Japanese bird cooking spaghetti” image before, but there are more of them floating around the web. Sadly, I could not figure out who the original photographer is, so if anyone knows, please do let me know.

… I… just… what? I have no idea what I just watched, but it was delightful, so I had to share it! This is one of the reason why I love Japan.

I finally went shopping today. I have been putting it of for months. I got a neat bag to carry with me to the gym, new ballerina flats, both from GQ.
The whole lot! Two bags, one pair of ballerina flats, a white Moleskine I have been eyeing for months, new pastel gel pens and an adorable new cover for my phone with Moomin on it, closeup of the cover in the picture below.

Found these on the walls of a kindergarden somewhere between Nakano-ku and Shinjuku-ku, and just had to take a picture 🙂

My iPhone is getting pretty old and slow, so obviously I needed to get a new charm to freshen the poor old trooper up. I found this cute budgie-piercing (What on earth do you call them in English? In Japan everyone just calls them ピアス (piasu)?) over at Village Vanguard in Shimokitasawa. It seems like the piercings for phones are getting quite popular in Japan lately, since the iPhone doesn’t have any hook or hole that you can attach regular cell-phone-strap-bling. The piercings just plug right into the mic.

These two guys are the family cats. The black one is called Mr. Krinkle (or well, Pinkel, as my mom likes to call him) and he had dressed up in fancy attire to celebrate the 17th of May. The multicolored one is the new little girl, I decided to name her Sushi.
Mr. Krinkle is quite crabby at times, but still very cuddly when he feels like it. Sushi likes relaxing, so I often find her laying on her back like in the picture below.

Okokok, what do you do when you have deadlines and homework? Listen to cute Japanese birds on youtube singing the totoro-song. Obviously. Have a great Sunday, everybody! Remember to take a break every now and then and listen to pointless bird chatter, it’s good for the soul!
